This is my dharma talk from the East Bay Healing Collective on August 5, 2019, about the process of “othering,” the way humans put some other people into other categories than their own, regarding those people as meaningfully different in some way from themselves.  Who is “not like us”? Who are not part of “our people”? Whom do we consider enemies?
